Call for help

Maritime Global News has issued a "Maritime Industry Call to Action" to assist in the relief efforts for hurricane Katrina. As ports in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama begin to re-open, they will need a lot of help from the maritime industry to get things back on track and to move relief supplies into the region.

PLEASE VOLUNTEER THE USE OF YOUR:
TIME/LABOR - (Marine
pilots,Longshoremen,Mariners,Stevedores,Engineers,Ship's officers,port
captains/engineers etc)
VESSELS - (Supply boats, tug boats, barges,
passenger vessels, cruise ships)
HOUSING - (Shoreside,waterbourne)
FREIGHT SPACE - (containers, desk space, potable water?)
LOGISTICS
SUPPORT - (coordination)
INDUSTRY EXPERTISE - (Any/all applicable fields)
EQUIPMENT - (All applicable vehicles, cranes, mobile heavy equipment,
computers, cell phones, communications equipment & services, etc.)
